Call for Presenters
The BEcoME IT Conference, a joint conference of the Wisconsin Educators of Business and Information Technology (WEBIT) and the Wisconsin Marketing Education Association (WMEA), warmly invites you to submit a presentation proposal or speaker suggestion for our annual Conference.
Our conference is October 16 - 17, 2025, in Wausau, Wisconsin.

About the BEcoME IT Conference
The BEcoME IT Conference draws attendees from the business, marketing and information technology programs throughout the state of Wisconsin. Participants represent a variety of educational programs, such as elementary, middle, and high school as well as technical college and university programs.
At the 2025 conference, we hope to share ideas, collaborate, and explore new concepts and practices.
Plan your proposal
When submitting a proposal, you will be required to include the following information. We have included the list below to help you prepare and gather the required information in advance of completing the call for proposals form.
Information requested in your speaker proposal
Presenter and/or co-presenters with contact information
What will you specifically be covering in your presentation? What is the audience takeaway? What is something tangible the audience will leave with and can implement when they return to school?
What type of presentation will you have? (Will it be sit & get, hands-on, discussion based, or a combination?)
Preferred session time
Equipment needs
Any other information you would need us to provide.
Presentation Format
45-Minute Presentation:
This is an in-depth presentation and/or activity on the topic.

It is the Conference Committees goal to continually improve the content we offer conference attendees. Based on evaluations of past conferences we have developed a list of requested topics and areas of interest. Here are a few tips to help you prepare your speaker proposal:
Be Imaginative
Consider using a unique presentation method that goes beyond the typical lecture style. Be innovative!
Identify Your Audience
As you develop your proposal, be sure to keep your intended audience in mind. By identifying your specific audience early, you can better tailor your proposal.
Make Your Content Relevant
Think about the issues facing educators today. How can you help prepare educators to enhance their programs? Learn more about the topics we hope to explore.
Prepare Your Proposal in Advance
Gather all of the necessary information for your proposal prior to completing the online form. Be sure your description and learning objectives are clear and concise. Perhaps ask a colleague to proofread your information before you submit.
